Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a great central location that made it easy for us to explore the area on foot. While the one-bedroom apartment was spacious and had a nice courtyard, the cleanliness was lacking, with dusty areas and a slightly grubby bathroom. The lift was out of order, which made carrying our bags up the stairs a bit of a hassle. Despite these issues, it was a decent stay overall.
The hotel had a great location, allowing easy access to nearby shops and eateries, but the room left much to be desired with an unpleasant smell and some maintenance issues. While I had a relaxing experience overall, the service felt lacking due to minimal interaction from staff, and the lack of an elevator was inconvenient, especially with luggage. It’s a balance of decent amenities and some areas in dire need of improvement.
I had a great experience staying in this hotel, which is centrally located in Port Douglas. The staff was incredibly accommodating, even helping celebrate my mum’s birthday with a card and cake in the room. However, some maintenance issues in the bathrooms could be improved, and I did expect a more frequent cleaning during my week-long stay. Overall, I would definitely choose to stay here again due to the fantastic location and welcoming atmosphere.
I stayed for two nights during Carnivale weekend, and the location was the best part, right in the heart of Macrossan Street. The room was spacious and had nice features like a swim-out access to the pool, but sadly, cleanliness issues took away from the overall experience. The bathroom had dust buildup and the shower tiles had mold. Service was hit or miss, with some friendly staff but also rudeness regarding cleaning requests. Overall, while this hotel offers a prime location, improvements in maintenance are definitely needed.
Our experience at the hotel was quite mixed. While the location was fantastic and the pool area was a hit with our family gathering, the cleanliness of our apartment was a major letdown. Despite the great service from some staff members, the overall upkeep of the rooms does not match the price we're paying. It's a shame because the potential is there, but we left feeling disappointed in the cleanliness.
